World Villa Awards launches to celebrate the world’s finest villa experiences
By World Villa Awards
World Villa Awards has launched its inaugural programme, bringing a dedicated international spotlight to exceptional villas, villa resorts and the people and destinations behind them.
Part of the World Travel Awards family, the new awards will recognise excellence across a sector that offers travellers everything from a private beachfront home to a fully staffed estate, an overwater retreat or a villa within a world-class resort.
At the heart of the programme is a simple belief: an outstanding villa holiday is about much more than the property. Architecture and location create the setting, but thoughtful service, local knowledge and attention to detail make the experience.
World Villa Awards will celebrate that complete picture, recognising individual properties alongside resort collections, specialist rental companies and villa destinations. The inaugural programme will give established names and independent operators an international platform to showcase what makes them exceptional.
Graham Cooke, Founder, World Travel Awards, said: “The finest villas offer something deeply personal: the freedom to enjoy an extraordinary place on your own terms, supported by people who understand exactly what makes a stay special. World Villa Awards will celebrate those experiences and the talent behind them.
“Across the world, remarkable villa businesses are setting their own standards of hospitality. We want to give them the recognition they deserve and help travellers discover the very best this sector has to offer.”
The awards will reflect the diversity of villa travel, from holidays bringing several generations together to romantic escapes, wellness retreats and exclusive-use stays with friends. Recognition will extend across different settings and styles, celebrating excellence wherever it is found.
Details of the inaugural categories, entry process and awards ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks.
