Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. You may use the website for lawful personal and business purposes, including learning about the awards, viewing nominees and results, and using any entry or voting services we make available.

You must not misuse the website, introduce harmful software, attempt unauthorised access, impersonate another person, submit misleading information, interfere with voting or bypass security controls. Automated activity that disrupts the website or manipulates entries or votes is prohibited.

Where an account or verification code is provided, keep access details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for information you submit and must have authority to act for any organisation you represent.

Awards and participation

Entries, nominations, voting and award decisions are subject to the applicable rules published for each awards cycle. Read those rules before participating. Where a specific participation rule conflicts with these general website terms on that subject, the specific rule takes priority.

A nomination or award recognises achievement within the relevant category and awards cycle. It is not a regulatory approval, professional accreditation, property inspection, safety certification or guarantee of future performance. Organisations remain responsible for the accuracy of their claims and the services they provide.

Any paid entry, event ticket, sponsorship, advertising or other purchase is subject to the terms and price disclosed before you buy. These website terms do not impose a payment obligation or replace the cancellation and refund terms of a separate purchase.

Website content and award branding

The website’s text, design, photographs, videos, logos and other material belong to us or our licensors unless stated otherwise. You may view, download and print reasonable extracts for personal reference or internal business use, preserving copyright notices and attribution.

Other copying, republication, commercial exploitation or distribution requires permission unless permitted by law. Permission to view or share website content does not grant a licence to use an awards shield, logo or badge. Those assets may be used only with our authorisation and in accordance with the relevant brand guidelines, category, status and year.

You may link to publicly available pages fairly and lawfully. Do not imply endorsement or a commercial relationship that does not exist.

Material you submit

You retain ownership of material you submit. You confirm that you have the necessary permissions to provide it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Do not submit unlawful, defamatory or misleading material or unnecessary confidential or sensitive personal information.

For content submitted for public award profiles or publicity, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, format and publish it for administering, reporting on and promoting the relevant awards, including through our service providers and media partners acting for those purposes. This licence continues for historical awards coverage. It does not give us ownership of your material or permission to sell it for unrelated uses.

Private correspondence, voter details and material expressly accepted as confidential are not licensed for publicity by this clause. Personal information is handled under our Privacy policy. Contact us about inaccurate content or rights concerns.

Accuracy and external services

We take reasonable care with website content but information may change, and some information is supplied by nominees or other third parties. Please report errors so we can investigate. Check property details, accessibility, availability and booking conditions directly with the relevant provider before relying on them.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not operate those services or act as the booking agent for accommodation shown on this website. Your dealings with an external provider are subject to that provider’s terms.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the website available but may need to interrupt or restrict access for maintenance, security, legal reasons or misuse. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption. Changes to this website do not remove rights you have under an existing contract.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you used the website. If you use it for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss arising from that use. Separate contracts govern liability for services you purchase from us.

Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookies policy explains cookies and similar technologies. Agreeing to these terms does not amount to consent to marketing or optional cookies.

Changes and disputes

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. Changes apply to future website use and do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.

These terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives a consumer the right to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction. Consumers retain any mandatory protections that apply in their country of residence.
